52 Card Workout

Happy Thursday (almost Friday!)

Today we are linking up with "Quite the Blog's" Almost Friday Thursday blog hop!

Sometimes it can be difficult to have the drive to actually "move". Especially with all these distractions we are presented with daily, such as the newest episode of your favourite TV show, the pictures your friend just posted on Facebook, the Tweet that celebrity tweeted on Twitter, or wanting to search the newest pins on pinterest. But I do know once I get moving I feel great!

This workout is great to change up your normal fitness routine. It is called 52 card work-out. All you need is a deck of cards and yourself of course!  Each suite is a different exercise and you can choose whatever you would like. 

I usually choose for each suite:
Crunches (sit ups) for Spades
Push Ups for Hearts
Jumping jacks for Diamonds
Squats for Clubs

So all you do is shuffle the deck, put it face down, and deal one card at a time. Whatever card you pick, you do the number of that card. (Any face card is 10).  Whenever I do this workout and get an Ace, I take one minute to stretch (any stretch of choice).

This is a very fun and versatile workout and you can easily change up what types of exercises you want to do. By the end you end up doing 84 reps of each exercise, plus 4 minutes of stretching!
